Collecting & Tagging Keys
Every sitter has a part to play when we manage the keys to all of our clients’ residences. We need to have two
methods of entering the residence, one for the sitter to use while performing pet care services, and a second way to
enter the residence in case of emergencies.
Tagging Keys
When you are assigned a new client, you will use key tags to label and track keys. The number is assigned by DCCS Management, but you are responsible for tagging the keys with that number and the last name of the client. We label the extra key number with -X at the end of the assigned key number.
- The -X key is the one you will drop off at the UPS Store lockbox. It is an emergency key!
We use a certain type of key tag for tagging client keys. You can purchase these key tags on Amazon for a cheap price!
